Hi there! I am a third year Ph.D. student at the School of Information in the University of Michigan. My research lies at the intersection of Human Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous Computing and Personal Health Informatics. Currently, I am researching how technology can continue to improve personal health management. More broadly, I am interested in exploring how individuals or groups use or could use context-aware platforms for diverse purposes, currently the context being health.
Prior to this, I completed a Masters in Informatics from the University of California, Irvine where I learned how to be an ethnographer. Even before that (in a past life), I worked as a software developer at Goldman Sachs after completing a bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT BHU, Varanasi, India. A true explorer at heart, I am passionate about posing research questions that matter and finding answers to them.
